You know you should clean the car when...
You see your son munching on something while he's sitting in his car seat. Instantly suspicious because you know you didn't pack a snack on the 5 minute ride to preschool, you politely ask him what he's eating and he cheerily says, 'Goldfish!' It then dawns on you that you haven't bought Goldfish in several weeks and he's picking stale food from his car seat... nice.

my kid crawls under the dining room table and snacks on the crunchy dried food on the rug. it's as if we don't ever feed her.
