Camp Wolfe - Day 4

left to right: Fafa, Charlie, Nubbin, Graham

Lil sis came over to paint pots too

Everyone's having fun outside. Even the neighbor's kids came to play (am I crazy or what?)

playtime at Camp Wolfe

Today, it was Nubbin's turn to go to preschool. CharlieGraham really liked taking Nubbin to school. I had every intention of going to Target with the remaining 3 because we needed a new toothbrush for Fafa and stuff for Nubbin's preschool party. But I chickened out midway and we came home to spend the morning at home. It was nice to have the 3 boys to myself and they entertained themselves for the most part... I even got a shower. It's funny when you start being thankful for the things you should be doing anyway. After dinosaur nuggets, it was off to get Nubbin.

In the morning, Nubbin had asked for some time alone, so I took CharlieGraham to Right Time Kids. They seem to like it there and Nubbin and Fafa took a nap at home.

In the afternoon, we painted pots and made button flowers to stick in them. I forgot to get fake leaves and stuff to cover the green thing that holds the flowers, so I made the kids pick leaves off the bushes and stuck those in the pot. All in all, I think this may be my defining moment of the week, but boy, when you get tired and dump an entire bag of buttons on the driveway, it can feel like a disaster. Granny Jo and Lil Sis came to play too and the boys were excited to see her.

Dinner consisted of Kielbasa, biscuits, frozen yogurt and fruit. Yes! Finally got it right. CharlieGraham asked for seconds of all the above. When we eat together, we always ask each kid to describe the favorite part of their day. Fafa said, 'Nothing' Charlie said, 'Taking Z to preschool' Graham said, 'Painting pots outside' and Nubbin said, 'Playing outside'

Kids got a bath and then we gave them Glow sticks. We turned out all the lights (quite hazardous for husband and I) and let the kids run around. It looked like a rave, but the kids had fun. They wanted to read in the dark, so Husband read to them. But everyone complained they couldn't see and we had to repeatedly tell them that it was because the room was too dark and maybe we should turn on lights.... of course, that would ruin the ambiance, so no lights allowed. Another day down, 4 more to go!
