Fix what's ailing you

Yesterday, husband stayed home so we thought we'd do some errands. We told the kids that we were going to the nursery to get ideas for our backyard and the kids thought we were going to see the doctor.

Fafa kept saying, 'I see doctor now! I sick!!' and Nubbin told us he wanted to give a toy to the nurse... HA! how funny is the English language :)

What, where, when?

Nubbin got a compass ring from a birthday party on Sunday and asked me what it was. When I explained that it was a compass and that it told you what direction you were going in, he chimed in with a 'It tells me what to do?' Sort of. I tried to explain that you had to have directions and the compass could be used to help you follow the directions.

'What are directions, mommy?' Directions, I explained, is a list telling you when and where to go.

'Oh, right. Now I see...' says Nubbin excitedly. I thought he got it but then he said, 'Mommy, it's telling me that when we get home, I'm going to play video games.'

Kids Together park

This weekend we decided to try another park and went to one that we've never visited before. The kids loved it and we had another great family day :)

Bond park

When we got the boys back after our vacation, we went to Bond park to ride bikes, spend some family time together and get some outdoor exercise.

Flower power

Those scraggly bushes in our front yard are actually azaleas and once a year, they bloom. It's a good idea to take pictures so that I remember not to rip them out when they look sickly again 3 months from now. oh, and wanted the kids in the picture too :)
