Welcome to the Wolfe den. This is a place where friends and family can get updates about our 2 cubs and a view of what it's like to be leader of the pack.

Jump, slide, celebrate
Fafa was fearless and even went down the super vertical slide. It wasn't until later that I realized that he wasn't tall enough when I saw the 'must be this tall' sign. CharlieGraham were there so Nubbin was bold and took chances on slides that he would have never tried if he didn't have his 'security blanket boys' there too. Thanks to the Best Parents for having us and letting us stay with them... we really enjoyed our visit with you. Hope your house is back to normal after all the chaos :)
More Monster Trucks...
Are you ready for Monster Trucks!
If you had been at the show with us, you would have witnessed Fafa waving at every truck and everyone in the stands, Husband with a permanent grin on his face because he's just so happy that we're experiencing this all as a family, Nubbin silently taking it all in and me screaming my head off because I wanted 'Predator' to win over 'Bounty Hunter'. I surprised myself and will definitely be coming back every year. We had a blast! Maybe next year we'll get to see 'Grave Digger' or 'Monster Mutt'... 'Maximum Destruction' would be cool too. Yes, I know way more than I should about monster trucks.
If you build it...

He wore a black beret
Caped Crusaders... off to bed!
Break on through to the other side
Nubbin locked me out of the house yesterday. The little stinker didn't want to come inside. Nevermind the fact that it was in the 20's and he wouldn't keep his hat or mittens on, and Fafa was breathing like he was having an asthma attack.
No, my first born didn't care. I drag him kicking and screaming into the house, plop him in the mud room, close the door behind me so that he doesn't follow me while I get the second born and I hear... 'click'
I don't have a key outside and I realize I may have to call Husband at work. So, for the next 5 minutes or so, I'm yelling at him to open the door and all he's saying is, 'NO, I WANT TO PLAY OUTSIDE!'... ultimately, the trick to getting him to unlock the door was a hot headed sentence from me containing the words, 'Daddy', 'pissed' and 'trouble'.

3rd parent... you're fired!
You know you should clean the car when...
You see your son munching on something while he's sitting in his car seat. Instantly suspicious because you know you didn't pack a snack on the 5 minute ride to preschool, you politely ask him what he's eating and he cheerily says, 'Goldfish!' It then dawns on you that you haven't bought Goldfish in several weeks and he's picking stale food from his car seat... nice.

I'd like my heart cooked 'tender', please
On the way home from preschool yesterday, Nubbin burst out with, 'Mommy, do you like lobsters?' I answered 'yes' and asked him if he liked them. He said, 'No, I don't like lobsters.' When pressed for the reason WHY he didn't like them, he said, 'I don't like lobsters or crabs because it's not nice how we cook them.' He also mentioned that he doesn't like crabs because he doesn't like crab cakes, but he does like to eat shrimp.
Needless to say, I was stumped about the subject matter and called husband to relay the odd conversation. Husband chuckled and explained that the last time he took Nubbin to the grocery store, they walked past the live tank of lobsters. Sitting next to it in a cooler were the cooked whole lobsters. Husband said that he had to explain the whole 'death by cooking' thing to Nubbin. I'm guessing, knowing husband, that he did a very thorough job of explaining it all.
My gentle Nubbin... my friend says maybe he's just destined to love all God's creatures... I should probably stock up on some vegetarian recipes.
