Military precision

Husband and I took care of the Getz Gang yesterday in exchange for a date night. Sissy and T had taken our boys the day before. We had those kids on a schedule so tight, it will take them all at least a day to recover and they may not want to come back. Here's the rundown:

3:15 - 4 -- snack, inside play time and TV
4-5:15 -- they helped me pick up sticks in the back yard and enjoyed a popsicle outside
5:15 - 6 -- inside for art while Auntie and Husband made dinner
6- 6:45 -- dinner while they watched a movie
6:45 - 7:00 -- baths for all the kids
7:00 - parents show up -- relax on the couch while finishing the movie they started at dinner

Attention! Imagine the sounds of me barking orders to a bunch of 3 year olds and chuckle...

Daddy dresses the boys

Saturday was my day to sleep in and husband decided to take the boys for a long walk (they walked all the way to the elementary school). He wanted them to all look alike and dressed them in yellow shirts and khaki shorts... they looked so cute walking away together, all coordinated and happy to spend time with daddy.

I hate sun tan lotion

Who really enjoys slathering that slimy white stuff on their wriggly kids? Did I mention that they've refused wearing hats or swim shirts...

Thank goodness, current fashion trends have come to my rescue... notice the unusually long swimsuits that they are sporting in this picture. They both now have a tan line that goes from the waist (normal) to their calves (so not normal)... at least we save on the suntan lotion.

Wonder Twins activate! Form of...

I'm absolutely certain that my two nephews CharlieGraham have superpowers. They are some of the funniest and most energetic kids on the planet... and I love them having them so close!

They have the uncanny ability to turn my already out of control Nubbin into a force of nature... combined, these kids make up the dreaded Tornado Trio. Alas, I can subdue them with hot dogs, mac n' cheese and the Cars movie, but how long can 'mother nature' contain them... only time will tell...

Daddy's home!

Husband came home from a business trip to Seattle and immediately started helping out with the kids... Yay!! the kids really missed him and his video games.

For the price of eating broccoli (isn't bribery great!), the boys got to play Motorstorm with Daddy before bed... sweet dreams kids!

Diving in... backwards

So, I'm diving in to the world of blogs... I had resisted the temptation up to now for the sheer fact that when the kids are done for the day, so am I. But here are a few reasons why I'm trying it...


1. kids do the funniest things and I have no memory to collect them.
2. Buffalo, NY... no, I'm not doing it for Buffalo, but for all the Wolfe clan that lives there.
3. all the other family is doing it.... yes, I'm a lemming.
4. I need a hobby... tried watercolor. optimal word here is 'tried'.
5. I have way too many pictures...

there you have it... now, I'm off and running which could change to walking or standing still depending on how much sleep I get the night before...
