In case of emergency

Husband has been talking to Nubbin about what to do if there's ever a fire in our house. After telling Nubbin to get down low and crawl on the ground if there's smoke and make his way to the front door and out to the driveway, Nubbin told Husband that he hopes his 'drapes' catch on fire.

The back story is that Nubbin's arch nemesis at night are the curtains in his room. I changed them to a dark blue to keep out most of the light, but Nubbin doesn't like them because he finds them scary. Have to hand it to him that he's got his priorities straight and wants to get rid of the one thing he doesn't like in his room!

That's so eerie because it reminded me of the curtains in my brother's & my room when we were kids in bunk beds. They were yellow background with pictures of rodeo cowboys on bucking broncos. It wasn't that they were that scary, but as the light outside faded, it appeared that the images were actually moving! The horses really bucked, the free arm with the cowboy hat actually waved! I can relate to my grandson's fears!
