'Pho' - tastic

Husband likes to experiment when he cooks. The funny thing is that he's the white guy and I'm the asian one, but he's usually the one who ends up cooking all the ethnic food we eat. He decided he wanted to make 'pho' which is a Vietnamese soup with thin slices of beef and noodles. We even made the trek to the asian market to find all the ingredients.

It was great, except he added way too many noodles... and by way too many, I mean they just soaked up all the broth and we ended up with noodles with a few slices of beef, bean sprouts and cilantro. He also added dumplings instead of the traditional meatballs.

So, the kids ate some of the noodles, bean sprouts and lime, but mostly threw the noodles around on the table... Husband commented that next time he won't add the noodles to the soup, just to the bottom of the each person's bowl. Now, that's using your noodle :)

It sure looks good! don't forget to give the grandcubs their own chopsticks. Zach knew how to use them at Ethan's age! Remember?

Mmmmm....pho. Does husband have a broth secret? I need to learn how to make it. It's so therapeutic.
